Roadie 101 ride - 9am Saturday 7/15

Postby Killer » Mon Jul 10, 2017 7:55 pm

The purpose of this ride is to work on road riding techniques including: how to ride in a pace line (smooth), roadie etiquette, how to ride safely in a group (avoid cars and other riders), and how to feel more comfortable in close proximity to others.

Where: meet at the shop
When: 9am Saturday, 7/15
Route: we will ride up and down Hines to work on this - about the safest place in the area to work on this with those nice wiiiiide shoulders.
Pace: no drop! Everyone works together and we all go one speed.

Please let me know if you are interested!

Love it! Will be headed to Racine, but would get a lot out of this if you do it again. Thanks Killer!

I plan to start earlier but would like to hook up if I see you. Also, Hines is closed to cars from Ann Arbor Trail to Outer Drive. Watch there be a road race or something.

I won't make it by 9. where and how far are you going? I might try to hook up mid-ride.

We'll be heading South -East from the shop down Hines (toward Outer Drive).

Staying in that section of Hines? or are you doing a TNW type route?

We'll stay East of AA Trail to take advantage of the shut-down 6-miles between there and Outer Drive.

Thanks for coming out, guys! It was fun to work on pace line skills and talk about how to ride safely in the pack.
