MayBury Miles - Back again!

Postby Pimpin » Mon Feb 27, 2012 6:23 pm

Maybury Miles will be on Wednesdays this year starting at 5:30 pm we will leave from the shop SHARP(ish)!

First ride will be Wednesday March 14th @ 5:30 and we will need lights most likely. First week of daylight savings time! We will ride up to Maybuy, doubtful the trail will be ready but we can ride the paved bike paths for starters. Once the trails drys up we will do 1- 3 laps depending on what riders want to do that day.
This is a no drop ride, but all riders must be prepared to deal with a mechanical issues and their own nutrition. Single Speeders should ride a geared bike  The pace is up to 20 mph on the way out.
Good way to practice nutrution for the Endurance events coming up  This is a 30+ mile ride. Fun times! Single speeders are welcome, you will just be spinnin like a mo fo on hines 8)

Let the fun begin PDT_Armataz_07

Maybury Miles Ride Leaders are: Jason "Pimpin" Sparks who leads the Pimp train, kind of a fair weather rider and Russ "Goin-Postal" Petts who like the Postal Service rides rain, sleet or snow fo sho!. One or both of us will be at each of these rides. We will call it if the weather is too bad for even MTBers.

Gettin an early start so you can hang with Russ the week after? He has no mercy, there is a trail of corpses that he has left behind over the last few years. Sparks will make sure that you cry before the ride is over

Come on Guys, don't scare people away before the ride even starts. Remember this is a no drop ride.

With 60* temps today... anyone up for starting this ride a week early? I know it's supposed to be crazy windy and the trail will be soup, but it'll still be a nice evening for a ride.

It is awesome out. Chris Torrance is planning on riding tonight as well.

I will not be there

The wind makes for awesome training a rocket ride on the way back.

I have my track bike with me and i plan on being at the shop by 5:30.

I'd enjoy the company, and don't mind providing a bit of shelter from the wind... but I'm not sure how condusive 54x18 is for riding with mountian bikes...

... unless sparks would let me take his shiny Full squishy Niner out ; )

I did not even think of bringing my gear tonight! Plus The Benchmark ordered my new light yesterday, so hopefully next Wednesday I am in.
