Conti Race King 29er 2.2

MSRP: $45

Pros: Great Traction and low rolling resistance

Cons: None except grid sidewall a bit of a pain to wipe clean

Why you need it: Noticeable better traction that Kenda Karma.

650 grams claimed. 30 grams lighter than the Karma.

That is the only size I could find for the 29er. They run narrow but tall in comparison to the kendas

Looks like it could be a killer front/rear combo.

Just mounted one of the Conti Race Kings on the front of Ali's bike after the Ralph wasn't getting it for her. The Mudshine review to come.

We went with the 2.2", the 2.0 looked tiny for the front where grip and float is crucial.

Whaaaaaaat? It comes in a 2.0? You KNOW I love sketchy, narrow front tires.

So, I like the Race King MUCH better than the Racing Ralph. Ralph felt very square (aka bulldozer) to me & picked up a lot of debris. While blogging 8) about tires this morning, I stumbled upon this: http://www.conti-online.com/generator/www/de/en/continental/bicycle/themes/mtb/cc_marathon/Race%20King/raceking_en.html Also, I don't seem to have lateral (side/side) slippage issues that I had with Ralph.
Don't look back. Something might be gaining on you.
