New post color changing icons?

Okay, first issue was that regardless of how many times I click the little box, I cannot get forum/Mac to keep me logged in/remember my password. I have NO issues with other forums. Second is that just recently, I am also no longer seeing different color icons to indicate that there are new posts. Every time I log in they are all white regardless of whether there is a new post or not. Again, I don't have this issue anywhere else on the "Internets" and this one is really buggin' me!! Any ideas?

Will it display the "Unread" highlight if you hit "Refresh"? (the little curly thing with the arrow on the address bar of safari-browser)
